So, it started as an rp idea that
margerydaw_s2 had. We played for a while and I was suddenly inspired xD So much that I stayed up all night writing the first 10 pages 8D.
Because I had so much fun writing it and thought it turned out quite nice, I decided to share =) I know it's long and with characters you're not familiar with, but if you have the time to read it, I'd really like to know your thoughts on something original for a change xD
Sakiko and Yuuichi are characters created for the Bleach universe, actually (so does the original rpg idea xD), but I love them to pieces~ <3 and decided to make it all about them.
-
After helping close up the Bookstore in which she worked in, Sakiko calmly made her way towards her new apartment.
Mentally calculating the amount of free time she'd have, she figured it would take at least a few more days to finish moving from the old place to the new one. But the rent for that month was already paid, so she still had two full weeks to clear everything out.
Deciding it would be nice to have something sweet to eat afterwards, she made her way to a nearby pastry shop at the end of the street, only to a find a severely injured man lying on the ground.
Immediately, she ran to his side, kneeling and helping him sit up. Because of the proximity, Sakiko noticed that the young man had beautiful lavender eyes, the same color of her own.
"Damn them all... Sending me to this realm like that..." He mumbled in a language she couldn't very much understand.
Without even directing a look at the blond girl, he pushed himself up, wincing. But he was quick to stare at her when she held his arm.
"You are in no condition to handle yourself alone." She said, despite taking a mental step back due to the coldness across his eyes. "What's your name?"
The black-haired man opened his mouth to answer her, but quickly corrected himself before actually saying something. "...Yuuichi."
She nodded in response, guiding him to a bench and helping him sit. "Yuuichi-san, I'm Shinomori Sakiko."
He watched her analytically, repeating her name out loud as if to embed it into his memory.
"Wait here for a moment." She said, walking away before he could give any type of answer and entering the pastry shop, soon returning with a bottle of water in her hands.
Yuuichi remained silent as she took a handkerchief from her pocket and wet it before gently cleaning the dry blood from his handsome face and handing him the bottle.
"What happened to you?"
He took a sip, letting out a content sigh at the refreshing feeling over his throat. "...I was banished."
Sakiko blinked a couple of times, finding his usage of words quite peculiar. "...Banished..?" Not to mention a bit dramatic, even though she had no idea where he had been exiled from.
Nodding simply, the young man stood up after noticing that she was too polite to ask anything further. "Thank you, Shinomori Sakiko." He said, nonchalantly.
"You're still pretty injured."
"I will be alright."
And with that, he turned around and began walking away, blending in with the people and soon disappearing amidst the crowd.
The blond wondered if he even had a place to stay, although she wouldn't very much offer her own house to a handsome, atypical stranger she had just helped.
But she pushed the thoughts of him to the back of her mind and continued her way, buying one of her favorite desserts before going back home.
After taking a bath and folding her clothes, Sakiko remembered her handkerchief on the skirt's pocket and took it out so she could wash it. But no matter how hard she scrubbed, the bloodstains wouldn't go away.
With a defeated sigh, she put it away to dry. Because it was one of her favorites, she wouldn't dispose of it, but it wasn't like she could use it again.
So, after eating her dinner and dessert, Sakiko took the dry handkerchief and folded it neatly, leaving it by her nightstand. She would find a proper place for it later.
-
Days later, finding herself with an afternoon off, Sakiko thought it'd be nice to take a walk on the park.
Once it began to darken, she gathered her things and started going back home, trying a different route than the usual one.
As she walked while reading a very interesting book on theology, the girl failed to notice that the path she was taking was completely empty. It had been set up that way for her.
And suddenly feeling a chill running up her spine, she finally put the book away, unable to stop her body from quivering. Sakiko looked around uneasily, there was no one to be seen.
Until the sound of a harsh footstep caught her attention and she couldn't believe what she was seeing. Standing before her was a Cerberus, with all three heads and six murderous red eyes turned towards her.
For a moment, she remained frozen in spot, not knowing what to do. But when the fiendish creature showed its claws and slashed the air, producing a sound that alone made her wince, her legs found the will to run at the top of her condition.
Barely escaping the slashing paw behind her, Sakiko was pretty sure that the next one would hit, but she didn't stop running for that matter, not understanding why there were absolutely no people around.
But she halted to a stop when she heard the beast hitting something other than her and turned abruptly, finding a certain dark-haired young man standing between them.
"Y-Yuuichi-san?!"
"Tch. Preying on a defenseless woman... What a pathetic demon."
Extending his arm, Yuuichi materialized a flaming sword and attacked the Cerberus, making it back away several steps.
Because he was bound in a human form, his power had decreased severely, reason why the fight took longer than expected to end. And just as his sword connected with the base of its necks, its claws dug into his chest.
The beast was chopped in two and caught fire before becoming dust. The young man placed his hand over his chest, feeling the weak body he was trapped into swaying back.
But instead of meeting the ground, his back was supported by a soft body. He looked up to find the blond girl helping him again.
"Tch." He pulled out one of the claws, watching as it dissipated in thin air. "Useless creature."
With shaky hands, Sakiko took a piece of cloth from her things and pressed against his chest, trying to stop the bleeding. "...T-Thank you. For saving me."
"Returning a favor..." He said, calmly.
As she tried to calm herself down, the girl looked up at his face. "W-What... W-Who are you..?" She stuttered, still not quite believing what she had just witnessed while being completely fascinated by it.
"My name is... Belial." The man answered, watching her expression carefully, waiting to see if he would have to specify further.
"B-Belial..? As in... Prince of Hell, Belial..?"
He smirked inwardly and held back a chuckle. Who knew she'd be that knowledgeable about him? "Precisely."
Remembering the words he said on their first encounter, Sakiko tried to make some sense out of his presence there. "...When you said you were banished, it was actually from the... Demon Realm..?" Clearly, she was having a hard time with her own conclusions.
"Gee, thanks for reminding me!" He said, staring at her.
"Sorry if all of this is a little too hard for me to process!" She retorted.
"I understand." Belial looked away slightly. "Still, it wasn't the best thing to say."
She decided to ignore him for the time being and carefully pulled the cloth away, glad to see that the bleeding had stopped.
Looking up at his handsome face, she found him awfully pale. "Where is it that you're staying?"
"...I move every day." [1]
The girl seemed to think for a few moments before taking the jacket he had tied at his hips.
"...What're you doing?"
"You'll have to put this on if you want to get out of here without attracting attention to yourself."
She helped him into it before taking her own coat and zipping it up all the way to hide all the blood tainting their clothes.
He stared at her while Sakiko helped him up and placed his arm around her waist.
"Hold onto me and walk slowly." She supported his back and began walking away from the deserted place and into the crowded streets.
"...Where are you taking me, Shinomori Sakiko?"
"I have a vacant apartment." She explained. "It's paid for until the middle of next week. You can use it."
"Why?" He glared down at her.
"Why what?"
"Why are you helping me so much?"
"Well, you did save my life a few minutes ago."
"Yeah, to clear my debt with you. Not to create another." He complained.
"You really want me to leave you back there dying?"
"No, but to get me an apartment?"
"It's paid for, I'm not using it, you need a place and you saved my life. Reason enough."
"...You're strange, woman." Belial said, flatly. "Even for a human."
"And you're a nice demon, so we're even." The girl retorted, making him frown lightly as they entered the building.
"...I'm not nice."
-
Sakiko helped him take a seat on a chair and took off his jacket, bringing the first-aid kit and patching him up as well as she could.
Strangely, she had been feeling quite an attraction for him. His human form was incredibly good-looking, but there was something more to it and she had to keep reminding herself that he was a demon.
"...You heal very fast." She remarked, noticing the smaller of the holes already closing up.
"Not at all. This weak human body is delaying the process. Not to mention my lack of energy."
The blond nodded and excused herself to go change her clothes. Entering one of the rooms and not bothering to close the door properly, she underestimated his enhanced vision.
Taking off the bloodied shirt, Sakiko cleaned up her body with a wet paper towel and took a top from her bag, slipping it on before putting back her coat.
Belial had scanned her body meticulously, taking note of every curve before turning his head to the other side when she came back to the living room.
"What can I get you to eat?" She asked.
"...Human food will do nothing for me at this point."
"So, what will help you regain your strength?"
"Heh." He smirked. "You sure you don't know..? You knew about my title of nobility, I figured you'd know about my eating habits as well."
"Not at all..." She answered honestly.
His smirk widened and he reached out his hand to touch her face. "I am a demon of lust... I feed on pleasure and sexual energy." [2]
Sakiko blushed. Not sure if it was from the feel of his cold fingers against her cheek, the alluring look across his eyes or the sound of his voice, suddenly deeper and lower than it had been before.
His other hand pulled down the zipper of her coat until he could see the tempting curve between her breasts.
Her lips fell open slightly as she tried to protest, but the words died at the back of her throat.
Belial found the sight very amusing, noticing how the movement of her chest had become quite visible to support her quick breathing and her thundering heart.
"You're making my job much easier, Shinomori Sakiko." He trailed her bottom lip with the tip of his index finger, never breaking eye-contact. "You want to help me, don't you..?"
Deep down, it was what she wanted. But at the moment, there was nothing but thoughts unlike of her running through her mind. It was his ability after all, induce to any type of sin, especially those of the flesh.
"Shall I take your silence as conformity?" The demon pulled her closer gradually, gently, giving her time to believe that she was making the decision instead of having it made for her. "Just one kiss will do..."
She swallowed in dry, cheeks burning in embarrassment.
"Please..." His voice was a mere teasing whisper. "Allow me to nourish in your desire."
Feeling her heart skipping a beat, Sakiko finally gave in and nodded weakly. Smirking devilishly, Belial pulled her closer, pressing his lips against hers in a searing kiss.
The girl's mind went blank and all she felt was him, a ravishing type of pleasure she had never experienced before blocking everything else.
The Demon Prince nudged her lips apart and invaded the girl's mouth with his tongue, exploring every corner and relishing the taste of her energy.
Having consumed enough to strengthen his body, but not to satisfy his own interest, he stood up, wrapping one arm around her waist and placing his other hand on the back of her neck.
But when he felt Sakiko's strong grip over his clothes loosening, he slowly pulled away, holding the light-headed girl between his arms, fearing that she would fall to her knees if he didn't do so.
"I got a bit carried away..." He said, placing an apologetic kiss on her forehead.
It took a few moments for her to catch her breath again, but she soon looked up at him. The color had returned to his handsome face and he had a satisfied grin across his lips.
Her cheeks were still burning bright red and her fingers clutched his shirt. Belial found it quite endearing, actually, and sat down, pulling her on top of his lap.
"Thank you." He said, sounding sincere.
Still not able to form coherent lines of thought, she nodded.
"You know, I could use a bit more energy... Just in case another demon shows up." His hands slowly travelled up and down her back.
Sakiko quickly stood up from and stepped away, stopping with her back facing him. "...I need a full name to give to the landlord." She said in a timid voice.
He leaned his elbow on the table, letting his chin rest atop of his hand as he watched her in amusement. "Satou Yuuichi."
"Satou-san." She said, opening the door without glancing back at him. "Have a good night."
"Goodnight, Shinomori Sakiko." Belial chirped her name teasingly, laughing when she closed the door a bit more strongly than she should.
He stood up and stretched, making his way to the bedroom with a grin across his lips.
"I bet you don't think I'm nice anymore."
-
It had been two days since the Cerberus incident and Sakiko hadn't met with Yuuichi since. She talked to him through the phone quite a few times, but she felt uneasy to actually see him again.
Turning on the lamp by her nightstand, the blond got under the covers and took the book she had been reading and a pencil.
Because she had started it immediately after getting home a couple of nights ago, she took the first thing on her reach to use as a page marker, which happened to be the stained handkerchief.
Lavender eyes darted through the words, taking in all the information she could gather from the Demon she had come to meet.
"...Prince of the Order of Virtues. Lord of Arrogance."
She flipped a few pages back, reading to herself.
"The etymology of the word is uncertain, but is most commonly translated as 'without worth'..."
For some reason, Sakiko felt sorry for him after seeing that and lost the will to keep reading. She put the things aside and turned off the light, sighing as she snuggled with her pillow until finding a comfortable position and relaxing completely.
It didn't take long for her to fall into the dream world, meeting the very demon that haunted her thoughts all day.
And if she wasn't so caught up in the dream, perhaps she would have noticed another demon entering her bedroom through the window.
The winged creature looked around for the distinctive smell of demonic blood he had followed, slightly disappointed for not finding the actual owner, but glad to see a beautiful young lady in a deep state of sleep.
Carefully, he positioned himself directly on top of her, slowly shifting her into position with his powers.
But he was suddenly alarmed when hearing her talk.
"...Yuuichi-san."
Softly, pleadingly, she called his name from time to time.
He was about to begin his ritual when picking up a strong presence. Noticing that the approaching demon was much stronger, he quickly made his way out of the room, doing his best to leave no trace behind.
Belial appeared beside the bed, looking annoyed for being called out so many times, but softening his expression once he noticed the girl sleeping soundly. Was he hearing things?
But Sakiko turned on her side again, hugging her pillow. "Yuuichi-san..."
His first instinct was to shake her until she woke up, but instead he pushed a few strands of her golden hair away from her face. She called him twice before the demon finally closed his fingers over her wrist and answered.
"What is it..?"
Blinking slowly, she took a moment to recognize her surroundings, only then noticing the young man standing beside her.
The girl pulled her arm away, surprised and embarrassed. "...What are you doing here..?"
"You were calling me in your sleep." He said with no mockery or tease to his voice and a serene seriousness to his expression.
Sakiko calmed down and a soft blush emerged over her cheeks. "I was..?"
He nodded, but picked up a familiar scent. "Blood... My blood." Looking around, the demon found the handkerchief and pulled it from the book. "What are you keeping this for, woman?"
"I couldn't get the stains out, but it's one of my favorite handkerchiefs."
"Geez... You really are strange." He clenched his hand, disposing of the blood and handing it back to her. "There."
"...Thank you." She took it and placed it on top of the book, not scolding him for making her miss the page she had stopped on as to not let him know she was studying about him.
"...If I could track it, then other demons could, too." He thought out loud, stepping closer. "Come here."
Belial sat beside her on the bed and pulled her closer, placing a hand on her back as he buried his nose on the crook of her neck, sending chills down her spine.
Slowly, he made his way down her chest, sniffing every inch of her skin and embarrassing the girl to no end. But he seemed very serious about it, reason why she let him.
He gently placed her down on the bed again. "...Incubus."
And before she could ask, the demon had pulled the covers away from her body and let his hand linger directly above the junction of her legs, not bothered in the least by the fact that she was wearing such a short nightgown.
Sakiko blushed furiously and pushed his hand away. "W-What are you doing?"
"You're still warm." [3] He said simply.
"What?"
"You should be glad that I got here in time to scare him away."
"Him? This 'Incubus'? What does he do?" She asked, pulling the covers over her body again.
"...You know about me, but you never heard of Incubus and Succubus?" He raised an eyebrow.
"I've heard of the latter, the female demon that invades the dreams of men pursuing sexual relations to obtain their life force."
"Correct. Now, if you know that much, you can probably deduce what an Incubus does..."
She remained silent for a second, dissecting both words in her head before blushing more and pulling her legs closer to herself. "Eww!"
Belial laughed wholeheartedly. "He was attracted by the scent of my blood, Shinomori Sakiko. It's what you get for keeping it."
"How was I supposed to know that your blood attracts perverted demons?" She frowned at him, but then realized. "Oh, I guess I should expect that."
He grinned at her. "You're strange, but quite amusing."
"Why, thank you..." She answered with a light tone of sarcasm. "I'm glad it's entertaining to someone."
"Don't worry." The Demon Prince gently placed his hand over her head. "I'll get you a familiar tomorrow..." [4]
Sakiko found herself instantly calmed by his soothing touch. "...I won't be able to sleep tonight."
"I'll stay outside your window on guard. After all, it was my blood they were tracking down."
She felt her heart starting to beat faster. Was he charming her again? This gentle side of his was very endearing to her eyes.
Standing up, Belial turned to go out the window, but stopped upon feeling a smaller hand holding onto his own.
He looked back to find the blond looking up at him with soft eyes.
"Yes..?" He asked.
"...Stay here." Her voice was timid.
"...Are you sure?"
She nodded slowly. "What if the pervert comes from inside the house and you're outside..?"
The demon looked over her for a few seconds before chuckling. "How cute. You're really that afraid of an Incubus? They're so weak."
Her lips contracted in a small pout, the blush darkening slightly. "Well, excuse me for not being a Demon Princess with dozens of legions under my command."
"...Would you like to be one..?" Belial's voice had no malice to it whatsoever, in fact, it sounded more truthful than anything he had previously said.
Sakiko was surprised by the sight of a smile across his lips and looked away in embarrassment, wondering if he could hear how fast her heart was beating.
"...Don't tease me like that."
"Heh. Sorry." He patted her head and walked towards a chair, taking his seat. "Get some sleep, Shinomori Sakiko."
She let her head rest on the pillow and turned so she could look at him. "...Will you be here when I wake up..?"
He nodded reassuringly.
The girl smiled at him. "Thank you... Goodnight."
"...Goodnight." He said, leaning back on the chair and watching until she had fallen asleep again.
With silent steps, he approached the bed, taking the book and gliding his fingers along its side, finding the exact page that was last marked and opening it.
Belial found articles and studies about himself and several parts underlined and a few notes added by the girl. He flipped the pages until reaching the last one she had read, which explained the meaning of his name.
And without him realizing, a truthful smile opened up in his lips as he saw the words 'without worth' crossed out.
-
Sakiko woke up about half an hour before her alarm clock was set to go off. With a content sigh she opened her eyes to find Belial's face mere inches away from her own.
Lavender orbs widened in surprise and she had to hold herself back to not scream. But after paying a bit more attention, she noticed that he was not only under the covers, but one of his hands was at her waist, beneath the nightgown.
That was when she screamed.
"Ahhh! You pervert!"
Lazily, the demon opened his eyes. "...You didn't strike me as someone who'd be so loud."
"What are you doing here?" She pushed his hand away, blushing.
"You were the one who asked me to stay, Shinomori Sakiko." Lavender eyes fell closed again.
"In the bedroom, not in the bed!"
"I was tired and afraid I'd fall asleep on the chair. But I figured that if I were in bed with you, no other demon would try to sex you up in your sleep."
Sakiko fell silent. It made sense.
But then he grinned, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer. "Besides, I'm the only one who can do that~!"
"Y-You..!"
"Relax, I didn't do anything to you." He placed a soft kiss to her forehead. "How did you sleep..?"
"...Very well, actually." She couldn't remember the last time she had slept so peacefully.
"Good..."
Belial let his eyes fall closed again, not releasing his grip on her. Finding herself so comfortable and safe between his arms, the girl lifted one of her hands to play with his hair as a small sign of appreciation.
"Hmm, who's teasing now..?" He mumbled.
"I'm not teasing you."
"Oh really, what are you doing then..?"
"Trying to do something nice... Hopefully, it pleases you."
The demon smiled exactly because she couldn't see him doing so and refrained from embarrassing her further, simply enjoying her touch. It was quite new to him, having someone caressing his hair or doing anything for him without second intentions.
"Humans are quite interesting..."
When her alarm clock finally went off, Sakiko shifted to turn it off, but had to struggle against a suddenly clingy demon.
"Stay in bed with me..." He asked sultrily.
"I have to go to work. You can stay, though."
"It's no fun without you here." He finally let go of her waist, placing his hands under his head.
"Didn't you say you were going to get me something..?"
"Oh, yeah."
She took a set of clothes from the closet. "I'm going to take a bath. You can make yourself comfortable."
Belial smirked and stood up, walking to her. "Aren't you going to offer me anything for breakfast..?" He cupped her chin, gazing down into her eyes.
Sakiko fought down a blush and turned around, heading straight to the bathroom.
"I'm fine with watching you bathing, too." He teased, making the girl lock the door after going in.
He laughed softly and leaned against the frame. "I need something with your scent."
"Feel free to get something from my closet." Her voice was muffled by the sound of the running water.
The demon opened the double doors, grinning at the thought of taking something from her underwear drawer, but looking up and deciding on a white scarf.
She took some time to get herself ready before stepping out of the bathroom, taking an extra set of clothes and putting them inside her bag.
"Found anything?"
He nodded, showing her the scarf. "I'll bring it back to you tonight."
"Okay."
"Shinomori Sakiko."
"Yes?" She looked up at him, surprised with the serious intonation.
"You're an easy prey. Be careful." He touched her face. "If anything happens, call out my name."
Ignoring the fact that her heart started racing, she smiled and nodded. "Thank you."
The seriousness in his expression dissolved as he grinned and took her hand, raising it to his lips and pressing a soft kiss against its back. "Farewell, Milady."
Belial gently let go of her hand and vanished right after, leaving the girl with the memory of the seductive look across his eyes.
Sakiko sighed softly and brought her hand to her chest, composing herself before making her way out of the apartment.
-
Having taken two shifts and helping out with storing the new items, the girl arrived home later than usual, deciding that the first thing she'd do was take a relaxing warm bath.
She slipped into a nightgown and stepped into her room while combing her hair. And only when she stopped by the dresser to put down the brush, she noticed a certain demon casually sitting by the window.
Belial was leaning against the wooden frame, one of his legs up as he held something on his lap, poorly hidden under her scarf.
"Yuuichi-san..?" She approached.
"Hey, beautiful." He grinned. "This is for you."
Sakiko looked from his face to his lap and carefully pulled the fabric aside, smiling at the sight of a purely white cat.
"Awwwn!" She took it from him, lifting the fluffy kitten in the air before bringing it close to her. "Is it a boy or a girl?"
"...Male." He answered bitterly. "His name is-"
"Yuki~!" The girl exclaimed, hugging the lazy-looking animal.
Belial stared at her oddly. "Very original of you, but...He has a name of his own."
"Yuu-chan~" She pressed him more against her chest, too taken by how cute he was to pay attention.
The familiar glanced at the other demon with the ghost of a sheepish grin across his lips. "I don't mind it in the least..." He said, liking his current position.
The dark-haired man frowned lightly and stood up, moving so he was behind the squealing girl. "...You're making me jealous." He said softly, thumbs gently caressing her waist.
She looked up at him and flashed a small smile.
Knowing that it'd piss Belial off, the cat purred to get the girl's attention back. "Meow~"
"Kawaii~" Sakiko brought him closer and gently nuzzled the animal's muzzle, receiving a lick to the tip of her nose in return.
Looking very displeased, the demon prince said in their own language. "Get the fuck off, Diriel."
"Fine, fine, if you can't handle the competition." Slowly, the cat wiggled around so she would loosen the hug and jumped to the window, mewing again before going away.
"Where did he go?" She asked, looking up.
"Familiars used for protection mark their territory as to keep lesser demons from approaching. It'll take a while before he comes back." Belial explained.
"I see..."
He looked over her expression for a moment before tenderly wrapping his arms around her slender figure. "Don't worry. I'll stay here with you until he comes back."
Without getting out of his embrace, Sakiko turned so she was facing him, her hands finding their way to his chest.
There was a comfortable silence between them, almost like the one that precedes a kiss.
But before he began leaning down, she spoke.
"Thank you, Yuuichi-san."
"What for, Shinomori Sakiko?"
"For protecting me..." She said with a softer tone of voice.
"You did a lot for me, too. It's no big deal."
"It is to me..."
With an adorable shyness, she lifted her face and pressed a caring kiss against his lips. Belial was slightly surprised by it, but smiled and returned it with the same gentleness.
Sakiko slowly pulled away after a few moments, lavender eyes shining softly with timidity.
"Hey... I couldn't even get a whiff of energy from that." He complained jokingly, his grip on her waist tightening slightly.
"...I didn't kiss you for that." She said, looking away a bit.
A small smile graced his features as Belial cupped her chin and brought her gaze back to him. "I know..."
He captured her lips, not taking any energy from it and simply enjoying the strange, yet pleasant new feelings rising inside his chest.
All the while knowing that cherishing such emotions would only make things harder.
The demonic prince pulled away slowly, letting his fingers glide from her chin to her rosy cheek. Humans had such soft skin, he couldn't get enough of it.
The thought of not being able to touch her like that made the powerful lavender orbs lose a bit of their strength.
What was happening to him? Why was it so difficult to voice the words he needed to say?
"Shinomori Sakiko..." He called, solemnly.
"Yes..?"
"...I'm afraid I can't stay close to you." Belial tried to do that as gentle as he could, unsure if to make it easier for her or for himself. "So, from tomorrow onwards, I won't be coming back here."
And he discovered that she, too, found those words just as difficult to manage, because he could so easily read the surprise and sadness shining in her purple eyes. "...Why..?" And the once soft voice came out weak, almost trembling.
"Demons are drawn to each other..." He explained, fingertips sifting through strands of gold. "I want you to be safe."
'Then stay and protect me.' Was the thought she avoided with all her might, knowing that he'd be able to read her like a book if she dwelled too much on it. "Okay..." She forced a small smile.
Why was his heart beating so tightly? Why did that painful smile of hers hurt in him as well?
He wanted to kiss her again and make it better, but if she was trying so hard to accept it, he had no right to interfere.
"You should get some sleep, Shinomori Sakiko. It'll be late when Di-... Yuki returns." He said, pulling his hands away from her warm skin, brows furrowing slightly without him meaning to as he pronounced the name she had given to her familiar.
A small, truthful gesture that made Sakiko's smile grow sincere as well.
Nodding, the girl stepped away from the demon and went to bed, getting under the covers and watching as he sat down by a nearby chair, but distant enough so that they weren't in each other's reaching.
"...How are you doing, Yuuichi-san?" She asked after a moment's silence.
"In what sense do you ask?"
"Energy-wise."
"I'm okay. Good enough for a day or two."
Sakiko looked down slightly before sitting up and bringing her legs closer to herself.
"What's wrong..?" He asked.
"...It's nothing." The girl mumbled.
Belial stood up and took a place beside her on the bed, gently turning her face so he could look into her eyes. "Tell me, woman."
She looked over his handsome face for a moment before letting a small sigh escape her lips. "The idea of you... 'Getting energy' from someone else..." Her voice was barely audible and even though her face was turned towards him, lavender eyes shifted to the side.
"What about it..?" He asked, fighting down the urge to caress her cheek.
"...It displeases me." She voiced her thoughts, slightly embarrassed by them.
The Demon Prince was pleasantly surprised with her sincerity. "It doesn't mean anything to me. I do it because I have to."
Sakiko gaze fell lower, seemingly hurt by his words. "...Oh."
"But it's different with you." He whispered, taking her hand.
Slowly, she looked back at him, giving the fingers closed around hers a gentle squeeze.
The comfortable silence enveloped them again and as their warm breaths mingled with each other, the space between their lips became smaller and smaller until they met in a passionate kiss.
The surroundings once again faded from importance and there were only them in the world, the taste of their lips, the touch of their hands and the synchronized beating of their hearts.
And before realizing it, he was already on top of her, trapping the slender body underneath his as he kissed her deeply.
Pulling away once air came in need, two sets of lustful lavender eyes found each other.
At the sight of her flushed cheeks, the lingering taste of those slightly parted rosy lips and the feel of her heavy breathing over his face, Belial could sense the demon inside him struggling against his mental restraints.
Shivers ran down his spine when she glided her fingertips from his clavicles to the back of his neck, setting themselves between strands of dark hair before gently pulling him into another kiss.
Reluctantly, he pulled away, clenching his eyes. "Shinomori Sakiko... We shouldn't. I've already drained more than enough energy from you."
A blatant lie.
Not only was he in need of energy, but hers was so addictive that he had to be careful as to not compromise the girl's health.
Because the type of force he fed on wasn't one vital for the human survival, there were no dangers in him draining it.
But Belial had never been emotionally involved with a human and was unsure of what would happen if he were to let go of the control over his instincts while feeding on her.
"...Liar." She said simply, gently scratching his nape.
He grunted softly. "I'm afraid I might not be able to stop myself if we continue..."
"And..?"
The demon looked down at her, surprised. Was she really okay with that..?
"Do you realize what might happen if we don't stop now..?"
"Do you believe me to be so innocent that I wouldn't know..?" She retorted.
"I am a Demon, Shinomori Sakiko." He said, sounding almost sad.
The girl remained silent, calmly watching his expression as she waited for further explanation.
He pressed a light kiss to her forehead. "Doing this with me will taint your soul..."
"No, it won't."
Belial chuckled. "How can you be so sure..?"
"I am not under your charm. Your power is not clouding my thoughts." She explained with a soft smile across her lips. "I am fully aware of what we are doing and I acknowledge you."
Sakiko loosely wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing their bodies together. He couldn't stop staring at her and could clearly feel her heart thundering under his own chest.
"I wouldn't... like you this much if you were any more or any less than what you are, Belial."
His heart skipped a beat, perhaps for the first time.
Not only because she embraced the fact that he was a demon, but also because that small pause in her sentence made it clear that her feelings for him were actually much deeper than she admitted.
And suddenly unable to sway her with words like she had done, he decided to let his actions speak for him.
Without ever pulling away from her lips, he lifted himself slightly, unbuttoning his shirt and disposing of it. Long fingers glided over her legs, pushing the cool fabric of her nightgown upwards.
Breaking the kiss to pull the garment over her head, Belial was mesmerized by the sight of the golden tresses falling around her figure, dark underwear contrasting with her fair complexion.
And after undressing them both, he lowered himself on top of her, relishing the warmth of her skin against his own.
Sakiko held his handsome face with both hands, kissing him lovingly. "...Make me yours, Belial."
Obliging to the request that made his heart waver, the Demon Prince joined their bodies, overwhelmed by the energy sipping into him.
He relished the melodic sound of her moans, the inebriating scent of her hair and the tight grip of her fingers on his back.
He feasted on the hunger found in her kisses, on the eager way her body moved against his and on the lascivious haze clouding those lavender eyes.
Time stood still as they reached their climaxes together.
Breathing heavily, they refused to let go, clinging tightly to each other before shifting to lie side by side on the bed.
Sakiko smiled when he lifted her hand to place a kiss on its back and laced their fingers, moving closer to him.
Belial wrapped his other arm protectively around her waist, smiling at the feel of her lips pressing a loving kiss to his.
Slowly, their breathing returned to normal, although their hearts were still beating madly, and the room was filled with the sounds of the night.
They exchanged silent goodnights, and she snuggled up to him, leaning her head against his muscular chest and letting her eyes drop closed.
The Demon Prince veiled her sleep. His energy level was completely full and he could easily turn back into his real form at will.
But that was not the reason why he felt so relaxed.
The smaller body that seemingly fit so perfectly against his, the proximity calmed his heart to the point of him forgetting his true nature.
And after placing a kiss to her forehead, he let lavender eyes drop closed and fell asleep encompassed by her warmth.
-
The sunrays lit up the room, waking the couple up. Smiling instantly at the sight of each other, their lips soon met in a caring kiss.
Slowly, Belial shifted so he was on top and trailed his way down to her neck with his lips, spending some time over the sweet-scented piece of skin before shifting to nibble on her clavicles.
Over the course of one passionate night, he discovered every single soft spot of hers. And he'd make sure to take advantage of that knowledge.
A smirk opened up on his lips at the sound of a small moan issuing from beneath him and he made his way back up, kissing her cheek.
He had finally realized how amusing humans were, but even more, how captivating she was.
The wide range of emotions she could exhibit, particularly the one she had now, was breathtaking. A slight frown, softened with timidity and a carefully hidden hint of arousal.
And because she had made no effort to stop him, in fact, she encouraged him with the look in her eyes, Belial made her his once again, and if it was even possible, the second time felt even better.
Sakiko waited until her body had calmed down to stand up and wrap the sheets around her figure.
"I'm going to take a bath." She smiled at him and pressed a loving kiss to his lips.
The Demon Prince debated with himself for a split second whether he should offer to join her, but decided it was better not. "I'll be expecting your return."
She nodded and made her way to the bathroom, not bothering to take any clothes with her this time. Belial watched the closed door until the water began running.
He stretched his arms, glancing at the ceiling as a deep sigh escaped his lips.
"Are you sure this was a good idea..?"
Sitting up, he found the owner of the voice sitting by the window, lazily licking his paw. "What?"
"Sleeping with her." Diriel explained. "The whole point of you bringing me here was that she'd be safe without having you around."
"Yes."
"And yet you're still here when you were supposed to have left when I arrived." Golden eyes stared at lavender ones.
Belial remained silent and looked down at his own hands, he was being lectured by his own underling.
"...You're having a hard time letting go, Master..?"
A ghost of a sad smile fleeted through his features. "Is it that easy to notice..?"
"I've never seen you like this before."
Taking a deep breath, the noble demon stood up and gathered his clothes, putting them back on and waiting for the girl to come back.
A few minutes later, she stepped into the room again, this time wrapped in a towel. The smile across her lips died as she saw no one but the white cat in the room.
"Belial..?" She asked right before being pulled against a muscular chest from behind. "..!"
He held her securely against him, letting his lips linger over her neck as to keep her from looking at him.
"Goodbye, my dear..." He whispered ever so sweetly before disappearing.
Sakiko nearly fell to her knees at the sudden loss of his touch. As his words finally sunk in, lavender eyes filled with tears and a small hand clamped over quivering lips.
Diriel approached, gently rubbing his face against her leg. She picked him up and sat by the bed, unable to hold back her tears.
"Why..?" She asked. "Why didn't he let me see his face at least?"
"...Perhaps Master wanted you to cling to the memory of his smiling face." The familiar tried to explain, it wasn't something he could understand, but simply what he had concluded from his observations.
She looked down at the animal, slightly surprised.
"But be sure, Milady, it was hard for him as well."
The girl smiled at him, wiping away her tears. "Thank you."
"Master brought me to this realm specifically to protect you, Milady. I'll fulfill my duty to the fullest."
Placing a soft kiss on top of his furry head, Sakiko let go of the animal, which bowed at her and calmly pawed his way out of the room.
She sighed softly and touched the pillows, the masculine scent he left behind would disappear soon, but his wish and concern for her safety would always be there.
Belial teleported himself to a place where he could feel no human presences, not wanting to deal with them at the moment, in fact, he had no wish to interact with any humans beside her.
In the end, he couldn't even kiss her as he said goodbye, afraid that he'd break a heart he never believed to be capable of loving, let alone a human.
Clenching his hands and extending his arms, pale skin became dark and hard, fingers growing into claws and lavender eyes slowly being tainted black and red.
After disposing of the shirt that was still drenched in her scent, Belial forced his wings to come out and easily lifted himself in the air.
Flying above the wet clouds, he tried to put his thoughts and feelings in order, failing miserably. All he could think of was her.
And when he flew to the maximum height his body could withstand, the Demon Prince closed his wings and let gravity act.
Belial had been the first of the rebellious angels to be expelled from Heaven and was banished from Hell by Alastor without even knowing exactly why.
He was a Fallen Angel and a Fallen Demon.
And yet, he still couldn't believe...
Had he really fallen for a human..?

[1] Up until this point, I practically typed our rpg while adding a few things here and there. From here onwards are my private delusions. xD
[2] So yeah, I have no idea if that's truth, but I like it better like that. =P
[3] Fun fact! Incubi were said to be identified by their unnaturally cold penises. xD
[4] Animal-shaped spirit or demon that serves its owner as domestic servants, farmhands, spies or companions and may help bewitch enemies. Belial was known for providing excellent familiars for his followers. =)
